Today at gymnastics practice my friend got hurt and was really upset. We were walking through the halls and she was crying so I put my arms around her(in a friendly way) and told her to calm down. This guys who really, really likes me saw this and looked jealous.He asked me out b4 but I don't like him so I said no. Then his friend was like "dude, too bad that couldn't be you". Was he jealous of how my friend and I are really close??

Why would he be jealous?? She's my friend. Im not a lesbo so it's nothing more. We are just good friends. I have a b/f and it's not him, but one of his other friends. My friend is a girl, so why was he jealous??
He just admitted online he was jealous.

well if you were giving that kind of attention to him it would probably feel romantic to him. Seeing as he likes you in a romantic way, i'd say this was what made him jealous.

He was jealous because he really likes you, but when he saw you holding your friend he wanted it to be him you were holding. So he got jealous that you were holding her and not him.

There is nothing wrong with comforting your friend, and it in no way connotates gay behavior. These guys are just being dorks and you have lost nothing of any value with them.
