A reason that schools should sell/serve healthy foods is so that children develop good eating habits early in life. America is supposed to be the most overweight country which must have something to do with our life style and eating habits.

To serve as an example.
To tell you to eat healthy in class & offer junk food in the machines is hypocritical.
To do the same thing & make a profit is entirely wrong. It gives the message that doing whatever is necessary for profit is OK.
Why do you folks wonder why the kids are so screwed up morally when their "role models" at school model unethical thinking & behavior? Any school board member or administrator who does this should be fired on the spot. If you believe this is not a big thing, think about it more.

Try pouring strange chemicals into your gas tank.
Obviously your car will only run off of the fuel it was designed to run off of, and human bodies are no different.
More and more resaerch these days suggest that a lot of the overly processed foods and undigestable subtances we consume in our foods are related to or directly responsible for the underlying health problems we face as a society.
Such things are especially important to consider with youth, where mental and physical development are still important things to consider. A body can only perform as well as the fuel and building material it recieves.

the word sell means money so this will only be good if the food that is sold is given as well as sold this will make it good food as well as healthy. what makes food healthy is when food is prayed over by the cooking staff the food will stand it's test in the heat.

1) Healthier and well-fed kids probably would do better in school.
2) Help kids form good eating habits early in life (and not get addicted to junk food).

Because we should all be healthier and more aware of what we're putting into our bodies. 90% of the crap they sell in your regular grocery store is pure poison. It is all full of cancer causing agents and chemicals that promote heart disease. Yet half of it is sold as being healthy and "fat free"...as if that means anything.
