Genghis Khan was a ruthless idiot and achieved nothing of importance othjer than bloodshed, same was Attila the Hun. Napoleon was a great leader who was charismatic but too ambitious. Hitler was a charismatic extremely ambitious man, who could've been the greatest leader ever but ruined it. Stalin was a butcher who deserved to die.

I thought they claimed that there was no God. That could be why they played god, I guess. But they obviously fell very short, didn't they? Many people blame God for those deaths.

taking over the world does not mean playing the role of god.
when you take over the world (as i am gonna do someday..)
you cant make animals. you probably wont have people praying to you like people pray for religions.
and, when you take over the world, most likely there wont be another person where you can just send the people you dont like.
