It kind of sucks that a family member (my mom) has to pass to have the family com closer together. But we all grew up with a close bond and as we got older we driffted apart until the death of my mother. I think it's truly important to be close to your family because you dont want the sorrows of the "woulda, coulda & shoulda" when they are gone!

My family is important to me, because of my observation of my mother: lack of self-esteem, can't teach self-esteem, preoccupied with her career and equal rights for women.
Because of my observation of my father: avoiding closeness, problems with anger, emotionally stunted, antisocial, amoral.
The importance of my family: why not to become parents. I'm almost 37 and never had a relationship. I'm almost proud of it.
And yet I thank my parents for passing their intelligence to me, so I realize that bringing more kids into this tough, screwed-up society without the right tools would be dumb.

because over the past 5 years I have lost too many members of my family. They are the people you can really count on. they drive me crazy but I love them any way.

because it is nice to have a brother call and say i love ya sis and a sister call and say i need you sis ,my brothers and sister and i fought like hell when we were kids but you would never know that by the love and concern we show to each other today when you are thousands of miles away from each other as we are that is when you really know how important they are
