I do not believe that God intervenes in the affairs of this world. Even the Bible says that God is not of this world.

God is no fool. Selection is our duty. We should seek His guidance in these matters. We should always pray for those in authority. God can change hearts.

Paul tells us that we have the govenrment we deserve. If Father God is in charge of your destiny, then your government will be His chosen. If as in America, you have dismissed Father God and told Him to get out, He will withdraw His influence and you will get the government you deserve. See why we have such a mess!
