No witness told you that, they don't believe in people now going to heaven and they believe that the grave is hell.
They believe in a paradise earth and that the wicked will die and return to the dust.
God told Adam "for dust you are and to dust you will return"
Psalms 37;9,10,11 The wicked are going to be killed off the earth and the meek are going to live here forever.
If they believed that they are the only ones then what was he doing at your door? He certainly knew you were not a witness?
They believe the majority of mankind will be resurrected from the dead to live on a paradise earth. And not all of them are witnesses. So you missed on all those. They don't believe they are going to heaven let alone you.

You must have misheard? Are you sure she is a JW?

JWs do not knock on your door to tell you that you will go to heaven it you join them nor would you go to hell (where you are burned) if you don't.

1)only the anointed ones(144000) will go to heaven and they have been completed already.

2) hell is the commongrave of mankind, 6 feet under the ground. there is no place of torment.

JWs knock on your door to tell you about the Kingdom of God, which is the solution to all poverty, crime, food shortage, war which all human government hasnt solved for the past years. They do not get involved with politics but they follow government laws well.

I can't say if you are going to heaven or hell because I am not God. I can however tell you that you do not have to be a Jehovah's witness to get to heaven. What you need to do is repent from your sins and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and live your life for him. That is how you get to heaven.

Do you realize that you are living in a time when you may never have to die?

Do you realize that you can regain perfect health?

Do you realize that you can welcome back from the dead all those who died?

Do you realize you will have the time needed to everything you ever wanted?

Do you realize you will be able to see the earth as Jehovah created it, and not with the pollution we see today?

These are just a few of the promises Jehovah has given to mankind a what the lady was trying to tell you.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

You don't have to be any "religion". You have to believe that Jesus is the son of God, who came to earth as a "sacrifice" for our sins.
If you believe that, and pray to God and tell Him that you believe (have faith), then you are a Christian and will live in heaven for eternity after your earthly death.
Attending a church with a congregation that believes in the Bible the way it is written, without their own interpretations added to it is most helpful.
By asking Jesus to be your personal savior, you become a Christian. By interpreting the Bible the way it is written makes you an Evangelical Christian.
By being a Catholic, Jehovah's Witness, Christian Scientist, Sevethday Adventist or Mormon you're accepting a "religion" that adds it's own interpretation. They are telling God that he needs help.

No, you don't have to become a Jehovah's Witness to go to Heaven. You need to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, have faith and do good works (which demonstrates your faith). Faith without works is dead and serves no purpose.

Turn away from sin and live as Jesus Christ did. Grow closer to God. He will let you know what your purpose in this life is.

God Bless you.

I would suggest you NOT become a Jehovah witness in order to get to heaven.

No, That's a lie and it's not even scriptural what they teach that only 144,000 Jehovah Witnesses will go to heaven. You might as well read a comic book.

Astute readers will note that the questioner does *NOT* actually say that the 'lady at the door' claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness. In fact the teachings she apparently espoused have no connection with Jehovah's Witnesses or with the bible.

Actually, Jehovah's Witnesses expect that a substantial number of those resurrected to heaven will have never set foot in a Kingdom Hall or read 'The Watchtower' as Jehovah's Witnesses do.

The fact is that the vast majority of Witnesses hope to enjoy life ON EARTH forever, rather than in heaven. Jehovah's Witnesses understand heaven to refer to the dwelling place of spirit creatures such as Jesus and the angels. They understand the Scriptures to teach that exactly 144,000 humans will join Christ Jesus as kings and priests to administer God's Kingdom (which will soon replace all earthly governments).
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
(Revelation 14:1) Lamb [Jesus] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
(Revelation 20:6) they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him

The men and women who make up the 144,000 are selected by God from among two thousand years of Christians. Over whom will they rule? Over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”

Hell is NOT someplace/something mankind needs to fear; there is no suffering in the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

Almighty Jehovah God selects those few who have the heavenly calling. Each person "feels" his own hope and each person's hope remains unquestioned by his fellow Christians. Still the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%*) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]
