[I Agree and so does research/studies]
School does start too early in the morning. Some schools I went to you had to be inside by 6 AM. [BTW, some of the schools would some times have something so we'd have to be there BEFORE 6 AM to do stuff and be counted as not tartee. I'm not saying 5:59 AM,.. I'm saying like 5:15 AM]

There have been test done (this was over 10 years ago) that proved that this was not good. The testing showed that Teachers in the Test slept a perfect number of hours every night and woke up perky every morning at like 5 AM. While the teachers may have perfect sleep sceduals and internal clocks haveing them like this,.. the Students targeted (I forget which age, but I saw more then one of these with the same results so Middle / JuniorHigh School and the first couple years of High School) [SOMEONE IS TRYING TO TICK ME OFF IN REALITY ON PURPOSE] could not sleep at night and took a long time to go to sleep (some times over 5 hours),.. on Average not falling asleep until 3 AM (some didn't sleep at all). Middle Schoolers / Junior High Schoolers are also the people in school that need the MOST ammount of sleep (... more then Kindergarteners appearently...). [OMG HE WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE]

So try looking into Sleep Studies compareing Students to Teachers and maybe you'll find some of the test I was (they were on Educational programs and TV,.. posibly some news programs as well like 60 Minutes). Part of the point of the results was Middle School / Junior High School should start the latest of the three [HE STILL WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE] and yet most places I've seen appear to have it the easliest to start school.

Added: legacy I've been to schools where you could only walk to/from school. The school I graduated from I would walk to and from school and in the mornings there were often drivers that would drive over curbs, side walks and some times across peoples lawns [and through fences even, so they'd get into the front and back yards of a single house]. One thing people have suggested when I described these morning drivers is some of them might be Drunks trying to get home. I think it's a combo of things,.. one thing is it is Pitch Black out in the mornings.

It's been researched that because teens need more sleep (to grow on), beginning school early is not beneficial. Prime time learning occurs once you're up and aware, and many of us are not aware at 8:00 AM. A better time would be 10:00 AM. That way every one has plenty of time to wake and eat and prepare for coursework. Also, with everyone going to bed later, it's really difficult to get in those 8 hours that are CRUCIAL for functioning.

Well, first off -- I hope that your spelling is better on your paper than your question, but that aside....

Yes -- school does start early for most. The kids in my apartment complex are out at the bus stop as early as 6:30 in the morning. I think that it's very dangerous for them to be out there so early. (That could be one point of argument...) It is still very dark and I live on a fairly active street. However, to as a counterpoint - the early time helps to prepare them for "the real world" where they will have to often get up before the sun to go to work.

Good Luck!!!

each and every few nighttime attempt to bypass to sleep an hour previously. no matter when you're only laying interior the darkish, try it. it receives more advantageous suited with time. quickly you'll discover you awaken previously. I set an alarm clock to face up at 8, so that is actual not so troublesome to kick decrease back into waking up at six. do not artwork out previously mattress! it will make your body drained yet you'll also be pumped up.

i disagree. the earlier we start, the fatser we can get out and have more time for ourselves. trust me, i've been on both sides of the spectrum. in middle school i started at 7:30am and it seemd annoying but by 2pm we were out and had the whole day to ourselves...i went to a high school in west palm for nine weeks and there we started at 8:50 and got out at 3:30...it seemed like i had no time for ME at home and the school hours dragged on forever...

trust me...you don't want to start later.

and also, i don't mean to be a prick or anything but it's spelled 'persuasive' and it's said 'school starts too early'... 'too' with 2 Os.

sorry i just have this thing where i can't help but correct people....i meant it in the nicest way possible. just trying to help out.
