I did not post the adoption question, my sister did. The father is a loser and hates her, they were together when she got pregnant, he tried to kill her by stabbing, he abuses the other kid, doesn't work, has no good family, does drugs, drinks, and cheats on her.

She just wants whats best for the baby and knows she cant do it and neither can he. An agency said he had the right to deny an adoption. Her question is WHAT IS SHE SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT IT?

She needs to file a formal complaint with Child Services before she hands the baby over to the state foster system.
With a formal complaint, the father will be investigated.

I agree with a previous answer, lodge a complaint against him for abuse, then go to an abuse shelter and begin the proceedings for adoption. If he tries to get custody of the child, he'll be investigated. Then, if he did all the things you say he did, they'll find out.

Otherwise, have the child and drop it off at the fire station or nearest hospital. You won't be charged with abandonment.

Get legal help. There are many agencies for every type of help. The problem is that it takes a lot of foot work and waiting in offices. If your sister works maybe you can help. Start with your local homeless shelter. Homeless shelters offer free legal advice, counseling and career counseling, but you have to wait in line.

Legal help its the only option now. No one on yahoo answers can help you anymore. She made far two many miskates already by going with that loser over and having two kids from him. Time to move on and time to make things right. Call social services

She should be worried about both children and herself. She needs to get out of that situation and fast. She could go to an abused womans shelter and he won't be able to find her there and they can help her get some emotional help and get some help keeping herself and her kids away from the abuse.
