Get a strong antifungal cream that says antifungal on the tube, as well as athlete's feet. The stronger the percentage, the faster it will work. You can also purchase sprays specifically for this purpose. Wash your socks regularly, change them after working out, or other sweaty exercises. If you use a public shower, wear sandals. Don't share shoes with other people. Spray the insides of your shoes with a disinfectant spray.

Try to have your feet bare and in the sun if you can. Light kills the fungus. Spray between your toes a 1:1 solution of vinegar and water (it stings but it does help). Do that once a day until the fungus is gone, or do it once every few days to a week if you get athlete's foot frequently. If your feet sweat or get wet during the day, be sure to change your socks whenever they do get wet.
