raised 2 girls and 1 boy girls are harder because we know what bad things await for them in this cruel world they are we say more fragile than boys and easy persuaded ... so they need the extra pair of eyes and knowledge to stir them in the right direction.
boys sometimes play a different role and we tend to think he is a growing man and tough . but with all the pervs. out there that like little boys we have to be that extra eye as well ....

Socialization starts very early, in fact, when we find out the sex of our child we start treating our child according to their sex. For instance, if we know we are going to have a girl, we tend to speak softly to our unborn child. Once the girl is born we raise her to freely express her feelings, that it's okay to cry, we buy them all the pink frilly clothes with accessories. We come rushing in when they are upset and cuddle them. Our little boys are okay with torn jeans and dirt on their faces, they can cry for a minute more than our little girls . . . they're boys, they have to be tough, right? So when we, as parents, make it okay to express feelings with our girls when they become old enough to do so all hell breaks loose! We have crying matches, emotional outbursts, and to top it off we've given them the license to shop . . . so our wallets suffer. Besides all this, our girls can get pregnant, thus we tend to work harder at protecting them from "all those boys who will take advantage of our princess."
I don't know if they're harder because of their gender, or if they are harder to raise because of the way parents have socialized them. Great question.

Girls have hormones which are nearly impossible to control. Girls have deeper feelings than guys do and express them in numorus ways. Girls don't turn their back on everything, they like to talk/fight things out. Therefore if you raise a girl, chances are you will spend at least 50% of the time arguing with her. Although if you raise a girl, you can also be sure than she will love you no matter how much she argues.

Girls are so much more emotional than boys........ more hormones. Having to warn the girls about the boys is the worst part, believe me. There are just so many more things to worry about with girls. I have 2 teenage girls and 1 boy. I find more grey hairs every day!

Girls tend to be more emotionally open with everyone, which means that they'll hug you to pieces when happy and cry until they're red in the face when they're sad. I have two baby sisters, I should know. Also, boys and men alike tend to hold off sharing emotions as much as ladies do for some unknown reasons

Who says girls are harder to raise than boys? There seems to be such a stereotype against females, and it starts with the parents and their approach to raising them. All children , regardless of gender, should be raised with the same opportunity.

i don't know i have 3 sons, they drive me crazy.7,8,11,when girls are young i think they are easier.my sons are always getting hurt.or hurting each other, they are very active, and rough.a girl would be harder when she is a teenager, fact she can get pregnant and it is the parents responsibility no matter how you look at it.we just have to raise them right, and hope for the best.

I'm a mother to 2 boys & 2 girls.
Boys generally don't care what they look like, well.. untill they discover girls.
Girls on the other hand are fashion princesses from the start.
Hope this helps.

Dear Lovelygirl,
Actually I found my daughter to be much easier to raise than my son.
My son seemed to combine my husband's and my worst traits
while my daughter seemed to combine our best traits.
But girls and boys both need parents who love the LORD and pray for them and about all of the circumstances of their lives.
Parenting is tough work and we can't accomplish it without divine help. Unfortunately I didn't realize that until my daughter was born.

my sisters argue so much its amazing, but that is only one example, and doesnt really mean very much
but, i hear this is generally characteristic of raising girls than boys
my mother also said she argued and fought with her sister a ton, while my dad says he and his brothers rarely fought at all, which is the case with me
but then again boys are generally bigger risk takers especially at older ages.
when i compare the guys my age to the girls my age, the guys are definitely more dangerous, even if they arent as argumentative
