I asked several CPAs in the RENO,NV area and they all
say "sure I can do that" only to find out soon that they
bungle the return and don't know what "Mark to Market"
is all about. The few large corporate CPAs ask a fortune
to prepare a return.

H&R Block can do those types of returns. Just ensure that you call ahead and make an appointment. Let the preparer know ahead of time what you have so that you can be placed with the most qualified professional.
Edit: In response to the person below me: I work for H&R Block, and I know what Mark to Market is. We have Premium offices filled with Enrolled Agents who can handle everything from corporate returns to foreign returns to yes, returns for day traders. I know that the bulk of H&R Block clients come for the refund anticipation loans and other products that we offer. But it is a misconception that all we offer are services for folks with W2's. That's why I suggested that you call for an appointment and explain your situation so that you are paired with a tax professional who does know how to handle your situation. The other benefit of using a firm like ours is that you also have access to IRA's from the desk, and other advice on how to lower your tax bill (or raise your refund) - advice that you typically don't get from an accountant who takes your information, does the return, and sends it back to you. Make some phone calls and check out the information you get here. I will NOT solicit clients for myself on this site, but I also want you to have the best service at the best possible price. Let me know if you have further questions or need additional assistance. (Stuff I can do at no charge, obviously, since I'm trying to be careful not to break the rules of the site)

The tax princess is right. As well H & R Block would be less expensive than a CPA or a Tax Accountant.

You should consider looking for a Tax Preparer that also does Financial Planning because they are more familiar with stocks and day trading.

This is actually in response to the person who told you that H&R Block can do that. Well I'll bet not one H&R employee can figure out what the h*%$ a mark to market trader is. You need a tax accountant (yes, there are many forms of accountants from tax to auditors to cost accountants, etc.) A tax attorney might be pricey but worth the cost.
