If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

There are many new fangled corporate solutions to this problem, but as always the Old Methods are the best.

Sandpaper is what you're looking for. Preferably in the form of a circular drill attachment. Any good hardware store should be able to help.

Use Proactiv! My family has been using this for 6 months. My boys had horrible acne and the redness associated with it. They noticed an improvement within one week. The stuff really works, but you have to be faithful and use it as directed! They now use it to keep their face smooth and clear and to prevent breakouts. Good Luck to you!

I had HORRIBLE acne when I was a teenager...I finally got my Mom to take me to a dermatologist, who prescribed Accutane. It changed my life. All the nasty pustules on my face, neck and back went away. I am now in my 30s and only during PMS do I get one or two pimples occasionally!

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

DO NOT use proactive!! that is the worst thing ever, especially the combination stuff (it really dries the skin out) BUT the refining mask works well (it's the only thing you should buy)

Try Neutrogena products instead!

Visit www.acne.org. Dan has an effective regime, and there is a popular, active forum where other members discuss their acne problems.

If you don't want to go to the Doctor first then go to the Chemist and ask them for advice.
It is easier for someone to diagnose a problem when they can see it.
I don't want to worry you unduly, but it might not be acne.
