Why do people tell me I deserve love...?

When I don't. I am a jerk, I am stupid and ugly. I in a way want people to feel bad for me, but in a way, I don't. I want to be lonely and go to the Carribean and smoke cigars, but sometimes, I don't. Sometimes I picture myself spending time in my future with grandkids. I don't know what to do. What should I do?
