Every one of them I've seen has the windows tinted so dark you can't see into the church. What's going on in there?

roeleavitt, the ones I've seen are and the pastor seemed really put off by my black trenchcoat and black makeup. I'm sure the pentacle I was wearing didn't help matters,either.

Actually most don't have any windows, and the only reason is because of vandalism (if you could imagine). Ones that do have windows are generally in safer areas, but I have never seen any or have known any to be tinted. It could be because of lights or glare, it could be because of some building code, or something else such as outside distractions.
In any case, the meetings are open to the public and free, nobody is trying to hide anything.

I've heard (but am not sure how true it is) that it's to shield from the second coming. One thing I do know is that the local Kingdom Hall here in town does have windows though. J dubs are weird.

if you are so interested why don't you come inside and see what is going on. we are worshipping Jehovah and Jesus Christ. we are not doing anything wrong. the doors are always open. the windows are not tinted.

Who knows what goes on in there. I think it's safe to say that since they knock on everyone's door preaching then they aren't really hiding from anyone.

I think, that they are worried, a bout people finding them, so that others can knock at their doors, and ask them if they have found Buddha.

they keep it that way so that while you are there you are not distracted to whats going on outside. Paranoid i would say...
