What is going on in this world right now makes me sick. And anyone who tells you that it's not at least partially due to religion is nuts.

Do you realize that the AIDS pandemic kills roughly 3.3 million a year, while millions more people are diagnosed with HIV every single week, while its an estimated that One Fourth of Africa's population will be killed by AIDS. Do you realize that One out of every Four people will get cancer, and roughly one fifth of those victims will die?
Yeah, I feel sad. Yeah, there's not a lot you can do. And I know this sounds really cruel, but honestly, unless there is something you can do about it, why bother thinking about it? People die. People are born. It's how our world works, and it's in a cycle in which one can not break. Most of the time, there is no cure, there is no defense against those diseases. And with only basic knowledge, you can't do much. Let a lone the fact how many people are killed today in the US alone via stupid people with guns. Yeah, people die. We all have to some time.
And yeah, you might feel bad or pity. But you know what, I actually feel happy for them, because where ever they are, that person is at peace. They don't have to suffer any more, or they don't have to see the world in it's pitiful state anymore. What ever they believe in for a Heaven, they're probably up there. That's how I look at it, it least.

Of course I feel bad because I'm human and I have a soul.I'm not sure If I totally understand your question. But I do have to say that
A lot of us Americans don't seem to realize that these people in other countries, and not just the ones who practise Islam...are ignorant to the ways of the world. And that's not their fault. They have no idea how other countries live .Most of them live a sheltered life (primarily ) the women, and are brainwashed or are thought for. They really don't know what goes on in other parts of the world. They only know what they've been told by their leaders and their corrupted media. So it's not their fault. Just like it is not our fault that a lot of us are unaware that there are extenuating circumstances in these places before they sent our troops over there.I agree with you that people shouldn't be bad mouthing someones else's religion, especially when religion isn't what this is about.Ignorance and bigotry is.after all we only know what our government tells us as well.

I think a lot folks aren't aware of "anything" as you stated. But then there are the few that can stand back and critically think and make educated decisions. There are so many prejudices, but I guess that's our right, to be bias and have our opinions. It's the ones with sympathy and an open mind that are capable of being mature enough to matter.

If you only knew, I use to watch the news in the evening. One thing that got my goat, Was when the new reporter said "good evening". Knowing full well he is reporting about death, destruction etc. Even in the morning I don't like anyone to say "Good Morning" to me. I would prefer to hear nothing or a simple wave. The wiccan way has taught me other types of greetings.. Mm (Merry Meeting).

Of course i feel bad for them and i dont think its right that you assume everyone is bad mouthing their religions. And just because i dont share the same beliefs doesnt mean that i dont respect their religion and dont care because i absolutely DO care and i think its a terrible thing that people in other countries have to suffer, i wish there were more ways that we could help.

It is not pleasant to think of others suffering under any conditions. I do acknowledge however, that we all suffer according to cause and effect. We put forth the cause and must suffer the effect. Having said that, I do not condemn religions but rather deplore the actions of some individuals. Peace.

Yes I know, I often think of sponsoring a child.
I'm looking for a Charity that doesn't "preach the gospel". I don't want to support brainwashing.

I can hate Islam, that is, the idea, and still love Muslims. I can hate Hinduisim, but love Hindus. It's the false ideas from Satan I hate, not the people.
