If your puppy just came home recently, it could be the chow you are feeding. What was the breeder feeding? you should be feeding the same, if you want to swicth brands do it slowly. mixing the old with the new starting in small amounts gradually getting bigger. also feed according to your dog's size now not when it's done growing. don't free feed. don't feed it o nly once a day either. I found starting with 3 then working it down to 2 works well. if that's not the case talk to a vet, he/she might have some better advice

If he's just a puppy...puppies chew. He may have eaten something he shouldn't have, or he may even have the start of Parvo, which is very dangerous. If he doesn't stop within a reasonable amount of time, I would take him to the vet just to be sure.

It could be something as simple as Kennel Cough. My puppy was $650, and she was really coughing up some nasty stuff. I brought her to the vet in a frantic, and she said it was Kennel Cough, which is treated with an antibiotic and cough medicine. After about two weeks, the spitting up, wreching, and everything else went away.

When we got our puppy, she seemed to throw up a lot too... Puppies don't really know what to eat and what not to eat at such a young age, so yours might have eaten something that it wasn't supposed to. =/ If it persists, you should definitely go to a vet. You puppy shouldn't be throwing up more than once a week, if not at all.

eating too much. You don't say how old your puppy is, but for awhile, cut his/her food servings down, an ounce or two, but no more for now, at each of the 3-4 feedings per day.
Little doggie, little tummie.

Depending on the pups age, it may have worms. Sometimes it takes several treatments to fully get rid of them, but the vet can do it. This happened to me, but the vet helped my dog, got rid of the worms, and is now 6+ years old, happy and healthy.

excessive saliva? I'm not sure what you mean by spitting up (throwing up perhaps?) but if this is the case, he may have a sensitive stomach. I'd take him to the vet ASAP.
