you leave it in your bladder until you get to the test, then you put it in the cup when they tell you to.

You can't.

Trust me. I work as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor. I give those tests on a regular basis. I gave one some time ago and it was too cold. This person tired to bring some else's sample and didn't do it right and "looked puzzled" when told it was too cold.

Urine has very specific temperture give or take a degree or two. It is nearly impossible to bring some in. There are too many ways to screw it up.

My advice is don't even try.

"it'" doesn't have to be warm just fresh. get the sample in the morning and put it in an airtight container like the toss away tupperware or the jar they gave to you. if you can't get it there within a couple of hours then refrigerate it and let it come to room temp before bringing it to the lab. also ask them for their specific instructions

DO NOT even try anything -- you WILL be caught, and that is reason for dismissal. These tests are done for a reason -- the protection of the general public and your co-workers (and the business, of course).
