If God told us that our human death will be the end, will you still serve him?

Just curious.

Da Mick, NO, I just wanted to see how many people serve God out of Love and not gain.

In order to be able to endure to the end, it would have to be out of love. If we were serving out of gain or for "life" only, it would not sustain us to be able endure while under trial or tribulation. Of course we recognize that we have this hope, it has to be combined with love. Love being our primary motivation.
Job was a good example of this; Satan challenge that Job was serving God out of ulterior motive.
We can develop a close relationship with God by reading and meditating of the scriptures; we get to know his qualities, and also through pray. "Draw close to God and he will draw close to you..." James 4:8

I serve God because He is my Creator, my protector and my Heavenly Father. I serve Him because He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die an absolutely horrible death on my behalf. Think about it, the only man who was absolute perfection was tortured and died in awful pain for ALL OF US!!!! And God did not intend for us to die. The only reason why we die is because of the fall of Adam. Jesus Christ came to fix all of that, so that we would not have to die anymore and we can live in paradise again. All we have to do is accept Him!!! Isn't that wonderful?! Thank you for asking such a great question!

May God bless you and keep you. Love, Cat

interesting question...truthfully that question is so complex that it can't be answered in a short paragraph
I serve God because I love him completely. No, I don't want to suffer in hell....that would be awful...I want to be with God...the one who loves me
the whole..human death will be the end hurts me...because thats like God saying that i'm going to throw you away no matter how wonderful you are

I'm curious. Athiests believe that human death will be the end. So this is an Athiestic view, yes? You believe that once your dead, the worms eat away at you until dust. But in a sense isn't that hell? Just to know your living to feed the worms?

That's the cool thing about God...the eternal life part is free and paid for (by Jesus). All you have to do is accept it. You cannot earn it through works & service.

But, yes, I'd serve Him, anyway. He's blessed me tremendously and I'm thankful..

I cant wait to meet our creator in heaven and that is one of the reasons i choose to serve him. If it wasnt for him none of us would be here. He is the beginning and the end. God Bless!

I think that's probably how some people start but the more you are intimate with Him ( getting to know personally not sexually) the more yu want to serve Him

Noooooo, that would defeat the purpose of punishment and reward. I don't really serve him anyway, I serve myself and I see good results.

That was a good question, by the way. I've always wondered that myself.

i believe in reincarnation. i serve God because it is my duty to serve him. he is my father, my lord.

i serve God because the world is full of sin and ignorant ppl who will rot forever in samsara w/o purpose. i want to give ppl purpose, and by doing so i m serving God. God and his children are One. i love Him. he will not give me eternal life. by loving me, he already has.

You don't get it. God is our Heavenly Father, did you only love your earthly father because he gave you food. You loved him because he loved you first and you responded to that love. It is same with God, He loved us first and we responded. I know that eternal life with God is a gift He has offered to us, but I don't think about it all that much. I think of honouring God in my daily life because my heart is tender toward the things of God and His goodness.Hope this helps your understanding. God Bless.
