Is he cold? could he be hungry? they eat a couple of times a day (small meals). Small dogs suffer from low blood sugar if they don't have frequent meals. are his shots up to date? try warming his food a little before feeding him and wrap him in a blanket.

Are you sure your dog didn't get into any other food other then dog food? Could be a fever brought on by some kind of food bacteria, was the food old, or have pests gotten into the food? Check you dog for abrasions and lumps in case this is caused by a bites or a trauma. Dogs get sick stomachs, and colds too so it could be that. Did you notice anything in the vomit? check it's poo to see if it has blood in it or not too. If so, you really should go to a vet sorry. If not hopefully your puppy will be better in a day or two. Children's Tylenol in quarter doses for a chihuahua if needed. Stomach aches pepto bismol in quarter doses, no more then twice a day.

If he isn't better by tomorrow, money or no money, he has to go to the vet before something happens and then no dog; your dog is counting on you ; perhaps a payment plan something; you can't let an animal suffer and not help it; there are laws for not aiding your pet with medical care; called animal cruelty , yes this is as well; you can't let your pet lie there if it needs medical attention; keep it warm; but if tomorrow it is the same, first thing , call a doctor. He is counting on you ; don't let him down

Call and tell your vet what is going on, maybe they can tell you what you can do over the phone and it wont cost you anything...if they suggest you bring the dog in, see if they are willing to work with you on a payment plan. Either way, your dog needs something.

the ONLY way to tell if your dog has a fever is to take its temperature. Use a thermometer and a little lubricant to check it. A normal temp for a dog is 101 - 102.
If he's running a temp he needs to see a vet, if it's normal he should still go!
how his nose feels or if he's shaking is no way to tell his body temperature

The Vet is the only one who can help. Your pup may have parvo or something very serious. I just spent $700 for test to see if my little one is eligible for cataract surgery which she is. That cost is $4500. If you cannot take care of this pup then to need to give it to a rescue center. They will make him/her better and adopt her to ppl who have the means to take care of the pup.

feel his nose.. if it is hot and dry then he has a fever.. they are normally cold and wet- keep him hydrated with lots of liquids but if it doesnt get better within a few days he really should go to the vet- try to give him some soup broth too to keep him hydrated and provide a little food- chicken broth is good

If you don't have $$ for a vet, you have no right to own a dog. They are like a baby, totally dependent on you for care, and love. Use your credit card, hon. No one here is a vet... your dog is sick, it could die...... it is cruel to allow it to die in obfjous distress. Take your dog tomorrow to the vet.... they don't just get better by themselves, hon, they die....
