Very few humans are resurrected to heaven, and no humans go to a fiery hell. Instead, the vast majority of the dead are in a state of non-existence awaiting the resurrection that begins after Armageddon.
Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire
While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]
Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

I don't believe that people go to heaven or hell...the bible says that the soul IS the body...so the soul can't leave the body b/c they're the same thing. the bible says that after armaggedon people that truly worshipped and loved god will be ressurected into a paradise. their full bodies will be resurrected and brought to life just like Jesus was.

We are a trinity. Body, soul & spirit. We die spiritually when we purposely rebel against God. Our soul is part of our everlasting part and conscience minded & personal decisions. Our bodies die because the wages of sin is death. There is a death to our soul in hell, because the wages of sin is death.
There needs to be atonement for our sins to go to heaven. When we are born of God, we are spiritually reborn. Feel whole again, body soul & spirit. Pray to God in Spirit & Truth.
But when we die, our body hasn't been resurrected yet. It will metomorph at a later date. If we are born of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, our Soul / Spirit go to Heaven.
It is written at the resurrection, those in the grave will rise first, then those who are alive & ready. These are those with oil full in their lamps. This is when the new incorruptible physical body is raised up like Christ when He raised from the dead.

Because Jesus's whole body had to be ressurected. He showed Himself to the people and even had Thomas ( doubting Thomas they call him) to put his fingers through the hole in His hands. When we die, our bodies do not 'float' to heaven or get thrown in hell. Our earthly bodies are just a shell, and we have no use for them in heaven. But, AGAIN, Jesus's WHOLE body HAD to be ressurected to prove that He would rise in three days like He said that He would.
Thanks for a great question! May God bless you and keep you. Love, Cat

Your right the body will still be there... "hell"or "hades" in the bible is only reffed to "the common grave" just meaning that their bodies are buried in THE GROUND. Gen.3:19 God tells Adam "for dust you are and to dust you will return" so Adam would return to the ground from which he was created from... just like the rest of us

He had to take His blood that He sacrificed and sprinkle it on the Mercy Seat in heaven. The second time He returned He was in His Heavenly body. He could walk through objects.

The body is physical. It is the soul that will be in heaven or hell after the final judgement.

because the body will not be resurrected until Christ returns! for those that have died before this time, the body is still here but the soul has left! we will get out new perfect bodies when the trumpet sounds, then the dead in Christ will rise first.

He arose from the dead, body and all! When He returns, all the dead will leave the grave, to face the judgement, and be given new bodies that will never die. Of course, those who belong to Christ will be with Him forever! Lord haste the day!
