Very, very good question. I too, face this problem with my father. I have not found a suitable course of action either. I think the best way to get him closer to the Lord is to pray fro him. Go on a fast, if necessary, and pray for him. Also, try to get him involved in some sort of Bible study or small group or something like that where he can get involved with other Christians who are living for and loving the Lord, and where he will enjoy it too. Also, you might want to try getting him a book or something that brings up interesting points. Irresistably Revolution by Shaine Claiborne (s/p) is a great book, or try Ted Dekker's The Slumber Of Christianity. That's all I can think of to do. I hope this helps and I'll pray fro you and your father. Email me at Mclarenman619@yahoo.com if you have any other questions or anything!

I am taking it your father is saved? If your father is saved and has left the sweet fellowship of Christ and God best thing you can do is pray. I am on the fence as well. If he knows God's word then he knows what God says. You will just piss him off. Not trying to be mean but I am in the same boat so I know. I know God's word well and I know I am displeasing to God right now. Its like being lost again, and until God deals with us on this then there is nothing you can say to help him. So just pray and pray some more. Stand in the gap where he cannot stand right now. Hope this helps you, cause I know if your praying that will work more than words.

Write the verse and put it on the fridge.
You be an example of loving the Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul & strength. Just love God even around your dad.
Also, pray for the Holy Spirit to convict Dads heart.

Pray for him!!! There is power in prayer! God so wants your father to seek Him and know Him. He loves Him so. Don't be discouraged, even if it seems He will not accept the Lord in years! As you pray God could use you in mighty ways in his life, or He could use someone else to minister to him! God is so brilliant like that! He knows exactly how to get His children's attention!!! Keep it up and many blessings!!! I will pray for you both! UR AWESOME you mighty woman of God!

He needs to understand his guilt before almighty God.
Matthew 7:21 says
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.
If you show him that lust is considered adultery within the heart, and get him to understand the God is concerned with the thought life. Then maybe it will make him realize that he needs to re-shape his life, and get on fire for God.

i think you already found somewhere to start...the letter to laodicea is the best place to remind lukeawrm christians that christ finds them tasteless and spews them out of his mouth. use this along with revelation 1:3 telling him that blessed are those that read and hear revelation and take its warning to heart

you need to show the love of Christ and pray. Don't bug him. If you live the life of prayer and devotion, God will work on your behalf.... and you won't have to say a word.
God bless
