Ask him what his intrests are and his goals in life. Where he wants to be in 10-15 years. Find out if y'all have things in common or not. Learning about him is part of a relationship and the same goes for him too.

don't ask him anything. go out a just have a good time and find things out about him for yourself. when you do it like this, he has no feeling of an obligation to fulfill any promises that he's made or hide any traits you wouldn't like. you'll know each other better this way and things will last a whole lot longer. trust me, my girlfriend and i did this and it all worked! things are awesome and we're really close. don't ask the questions, find out the answer for yourself that way you form your own opinion over time and eventually won't have any questions
