I mean to me it seems as if she is scared to get into a relationship because of the way her last relationship ended which was very ugly. I finally realized just recently that she is the one I think I want to grow old with in life. The person I see standing beside me the rest of my life. Please Help...

You express yourself so honestly and sincerely that, if you speak to her in this way, she is bound to be won over. Maybe don't be quite so intense at first, though ...

Maybe you should tell her exactly what you wrote in your description above. You know, about wanting to grow old with her and wanting her beside you. Take a chance and just speak from your heart. Life is too short so you should embrace every chance at happiness.

I truly believe that actions speak louder than words. Because of the situation with her being your BF sister I would definitely take it slow you don't want to jeopardize your friendship if this doesn't work out. You might also want to try talking with your friend to hear his opinion on the situation to see if he is open to it. He knows you well and he may or may not have some concerns about you and his baby sister

Maybe you should tell her what you told us... You understand that she has her baggage... but you are willing to work with her on it. You love her, you want to grow old with her. Honesty is best. Patience will go a long way too.

Just tell her, life is too short not to tell someone that you love them. Tell her that you don't expect her to feel the same, but that you want her to know. She may feel the same way, but just doesn't know it yet.

i think you should just be truthful, but maybe wait a while until she is more comfortable with the thought of dating you to tell her, you dont want her to back out of it before anything gets started.

Perhaps just like you put it here. Age is not an issue if your feelings are true.
