Lately from reading some of the posts in Singles and Dating, I've come to think that in general, men have been ruined for sex by pornography and given unrealistic expectations, while women have been ruined for sex by articles in Cosmopolitan and so on and given even MORE unrealistic expectations. I mean, some of the things that women seem to expect from their partners are barely physically possible! Then they write and wonder what went wrong ...

Agree or disagree?

Agree about the magazines and women thinking there is some Prince Charming who makes millions and will sweep her off her feet.

Disagree about men and pornography. Sexy women have always been there. It only increases the sex drive.

The problem is lack of communication. that's the only problem. Some men are too scared to tell thier partners what they want, and some women are too scared to do the same. Me? I just come out and ask. Before I go down on her, I let her know I like to hear you moan, it get's me hard as a rock. I like to know if I'm doing it right or I'm doing it wrong.

I always make sure she gets her's before I get mine. that way she's always satisfied sexually. then emotionally I just make myself available for conversation. It's really not that hard. But I only date really really atractive women. Simply because it makes me feel better about myself when I walk into a resturant or dance club with her under my arm. I'm the envy of all the other guys in the place. The rest of the women think, I must really have it going on. And I don't mean to brag but....
LOL
I really really love WOMEN! You might think I'm a woman hater with some of my posts. I just hate how they do me some time.

You can not gain a scientific idea from this site. Many of the questions are posted for fun. Not serious. And some are serious, however, many are inexperienced children. So, no I would have to disagree. And I certainly hope this is not the reality within society, how sad that would be. I think their are enough intelligent human beings walking around and they don't get their dating advice from Cosmopolitan. And not all men are addicted to porn, or take it so serious that they believe this is how their women should perform. God bless****

I agree that some humans have developed unrealistic expectations in regard to both sex and romance. People have to use common sense and not use publications as bibles in regard to behaviour. I would not blame the porn or cosmo., but peoples lack of thinking things through. Some want a soap opera life and they should know that is just not realistic.

I agree we get caught up in what society thinks is good or not. I believe we forget what turns on one person doesn't mean it does another. Partners have to communicate to each other what they like and want from each other. I had a partner that didn't like the way I kissed, but now I am dating a lady that says she loves the way I kiss her. We are all individuals with different desires and tastes. I just hope we are lucky enough to find someone with the same likes!

Recently, my local grocery store chain has put up black plastic over the Cosmo Magazine because 97% of the articles were like "How to blow his mind in bed!!!" and "Turn Him ON!!" and little kids were seeing it.
I agree that too much emphasis is on the act of sex, rather than how to maintain relationships. Making love is a wonderful thing, but in reality, it's only about 10% of the entire relationship. I don't understand the idea of elevating sex to something bigger and better than the whole person.

AGREE. But most people have a idea of what or who thier ideal mate should be. Someday most come to thier senses and relize that the guy/girl they shunned for many years is the type of person they really want in thier life.

Most men do sex very poorly and most women don't even know it. Some people don't care. Find someone who knows what they are doing and who cares.

I disagree. I think this platform just gives everyone a chance to voice what they have always thought...
