Why do you mock our religion? We have done nothing wrong. Are you mad that we feel love for an innocent man beaten to death and hung on a cross. Do you hate us because we pray for the sick, poor and needy. Do you want us to die because we care deeply about something. Has something so terrible happened to you that you feel the need to blame God, are you that hurt? If you hate our religion do you hate us too....why? I think of what Jesus went through for you and how you just bruise him even more. How can you hate him when he died for you when he went through endless torture for you to have a better life. Do you even know what he went through....beaten half to death with a whip, he survived. Most people died because the whip had torn the skin from their body, and when they stood up their organs fell out. You have no idea what he went through to save you. Are you angry that he still loves you? Why do mock him??????????

I'm not trying to start an argument, only to find an answer. I have seen many people who make fun of the way we think, and it hurts me. Please no harsh words, i only want peace.

Sounds like the persecution complex has come back.
"We have done nothing wrong"...some of you have, by attempting to place your beliefs in public schools, bombing abortion clinics, and taking the attitude that one can have religious freedom, providing its the same religion as the one you practice.
"Do you hate us because we pray for the sick, poor and needy"...no, but actually spending time in a hospital, welfare clinic, or food bank and assisting those same people would do more good for them.
"Do you want us to die because we care deeply about something. Has something so terrible happened to you that you feel the need to blame God, are you that hurt?"...no, just prove beyond the shadow of a doubt to me that your beliefs are more than myth and conjecture.
"I think of what Jesus went through for you and how you just bruise him even more. Why do mock him??????????"...and here's where you fall off the deep end. There is no evidence whatsoever, outside of hearsay to support any of the things that you claim here. If your beliefs move you to feel so badly because there are people who disagree with you, this should show you that your faith is failing. Your faith is supposed to lift you up, not cause you dispair for those who believe differently.

I think most people mock Christianity not because of it's values but rather the way some people represent it.
For a start not many people appreciate the in-your face tactics some churches use to convert people, such as early morning door knocking, out right discrimination and over-expensive rallies or massive worship events known as "crusades" that exploit thousands.
As it often is, it's the most extreme people who are representing the moderate majority and thus bringing the entire Christian institution in many peoples minds into the realm of the crazy, ignorant fanatic, and thus people like to poke fun at these people and their views.
Keep in mind that not everyone is Christian, Jesus isn't "reality" to everyone. For some people making fun of Jesus/God/Christianity in general is no different to making fun of a cartoon character.

I don't mock your religion, I just don't agree with it. I still believe in God, just by a different name and different perception. I tried - hard - to be a Christian years ago. I tried to accept Jesus. But it didn't do anything for me.
Why do Christians mock my religion? If Jesus saved all of us - why can't God produce a miracle in the here and now to prove his existence? How come, at my lowest points in life - it wasn't the Christian God there to help me? Instead, a God of another name?
Seriously. Do you honestly think people turn to other religions or no religion because we're retarded? You have to understand that most of us who oppose Christianity were at one time CHRISTIAN! Yep - that's the truth. Obviously we didn't like what we saw and didn't feel the love of Jesus like you do.
Why can't you just accept that and move on? I don't know about the rest here - but I'm unsavable at this point. During the most difficult time in my life Leviathan came to me and helped me save myself. It wasn't God or Jesus.
Whatever the case - my experience taught me that Christianity wasn't right for me.
Why can't we all just live and let live, eh?

its like any other prejudice. People fear what they don't understand. Granted there are a small amt of EXTREME Christians who go around wanting to convert and control (ie...Westboro Baptist Church), however they just give the rest of us a bad rep. You can't constantly be worried about being persecuted as a Christian. Thats what Faith is for. They can persecute all they want, I know in my heart that if I stand tall they can't hurt me, but once we as Christians divide and falter they have won which is what they want. I refuse to be defeated by intimidation. Its the least I can do for him, he died for me.

I don't oppose Christianity or any other religion. I'm an agnostic Christian. Just so you know there are Plenty of Christians who oppose other beliefs so it goes both ways. Get over the fact that people will not like you. Besides most people oppose people who use Christianity as an excuse to do things like the Crusades for example. Get over it and keep to yourself don't worry about anyone else.

Honey, I don't think that people oppose Jesus. There are just those of us who believe our own thing. I don't think that Jesus was the Messiah. I think he was a great prophet, but I'm still waiting for the Messiah to come. I don't hate you, I don't hate Muslims, I don't hate Hindus. We are products of the faith in which we were brought up as children and of our society. For religions to oppose other religions is wrong. I'm cool with your beliefs but ask that you be cool with mine. So many wars are fought over religion. If we just let everyone believe what they wanted to believe and not have it be a big deal, the world would be a better place.

Throughout your entire little passage on the things Jesus did for us, you said only what he did, but whoever said that he was the reason that anyone hates you? Its not really hate, but something that comes out of you when you are really confused, like the trinity, how in the world is that not polythiesm. Plus, its illogical, u say that not only is Jesus the son of God, but i have heard countless priests saying that Jesus himself is god. If Jesus is the son of god, which i'm not saying he is, then how can he be god himself. Just like a prince cant be a king while the king is present, neither can the son of God be god.

Toughen up abit. I am a Christian, too. We're always going to meet people who don't like us or mock us. Don't let it get to you so much. I don't think Jesus wants us to get mad at people because of this. He doesn't need anybody to defend Him. How are you loving them by attacking them like that? Chill out and just love them like He commanded us, too. That's how we'll win people to him.

You spend too much time concerning yourself with the people who mock your choice. If you truly believed then you wouldn't care what others thought. And yes I feel sympathy for Jesus just like I do Bambi.
