God bless India! what would happen if India split into hundreds of smaller countries which inslaved their people and yet had no over all power. Isn't it the same as having lots of small gods? They can't be very strong if they have to compete with each other. One god doing this and another doing that...

Do you think they're in rebelion from the one true God Jehovah? I do, but who am I to say?

I love some of these answers, especially the one about gods who can only do one thing at a time, lol, multi tasking really is a females gifting!

My idea of God starts with the knowledge that he can do all things and without him nothing exists. God is totally not confined to male limitations on the job front ;)

Interesting mind you have....

I love Indian culture...especially some of the food which i have learnt to make...mmmm.

Mind you, I choose to respect and love all cultures and religions...do you know of a God who would teach otherwise? Are we not here to learn the simple teachings of this Miracle that descended upon us in order to teach us all, in the virtues of how to "Love one another" ?

What did mankind do to give thanks to this Miracle on earth? Nailed Him to a cross??

How difficult is it to "Love One Another" really!?

Just thought i'd drop this "food for thought" to give your brain a sweet l'il buzz. Its all good.

Ciao ~ Sky

Many or most of these so-called "gods" are simply human imaginings, but their idols are still incompatible with true worship.

(2 Kings 19:18-19) They have consigned their gods to the fire, because they were no gods, but the workmanship of man’s hands, wood and stone; so that they destroyed them. 19 And now, O Jehovah our God, save us, please, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, O Jehovah, are God alone.

It is an interesting idea that an individual demon may have inspired and perpetuated the interest in a particular pagan god, and of course there are untold numbers of demons. The Scriptures do not pretend that these other "gods" do not exist, only that their nature is false, their worship is unacceptable to the Almighty, and their end is fast approaching!

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

(Exodus 22:20) One who sacrifices to any gods but Jehovah alone is to be devoted to destruction.

(Psalm 86:8-10) There is none like you among the gods, O Jehovah, Neither are there any works like yours. 9 All the nations whom you have made will themselves come, And they will bow down before you, O Jehovah, And will give glory to your name. 10 For you are great and are doing wondrous things; You are God, you alone.

Actually, hinduism is simply more economically advanced than christianity. Ever heard of division of labor? The christian God has to spend time switching from one task to another, and has to be good at everything. On the other hand, the hindu gods can stick with one task each, so they don't waste any time and they can get things done much more efficiently. You need to go read some Adam Smith.

Actually, neither the hindu gods nor the christian God exists.

God is one
others are subordinates
they have the rules and regulations same as human being
but they are God because they follow it so you can not distinguish them
ok how many Gods you have seen perhaps none
then how can you say that there are so many Gods and do according to their own way.
definetely there are free souls who look after the world
God tests you how much you are patient with him.
it may be possible that when you are going to another god then your success could be because of previous God.
so many things are possible. but God see your feeling only. they do not have problems in themselves.
the problem is with us.

This is like saying if i dont like ONE thing i am going to go to other thing in same category. if i pray to one god and my problems are not solved then i shall pray to some other god and if that works out for me than THAT WOULD BE "MY" God. That is the reason why we have so many God/Godess. Its all about what makes an individual satisfied. Personally i believe there are more than god. its matter of what makes you happy which god makes u feel at peace.

First of all, I dont even know who Jehovah is, but as a Muslim I completely agree with you on that it is not possible for there to be more thatn one god. There would have to be som ekind of tension growing between them, if this were to happen, then the world would split apart as you know it. Thus, there is only one God, Allah.
