I had knee surgery and they told me to use Vitamin E on them when they started to heal. They were right too, my scars are practically invisible. Unless you are looking for them you can't see them. Just go buy the gel caps of vitamin e and, poke a hole in it and rub it onto the scar, it's kind of sticky but it's better than having an ugly scar.

this might come as a surprise, but the one sure thing that can smooth out your scars ( i assume from acne) are your own tears. It is amazing how your own tears can renew skin. It is little wonder that when we cry, tears fall on our skin. I know that we think that tears are mostly salt, but if you do reseach you'll see that tears also have other chemical compositions. I know that you can't just will yourself to cry, but if you ever do cry do not just wipe those tears away, instead smooth them over the problem areas. The more you will do that, the smoother and firmer the problem area will become. Also make sure you keep it on your skin at least over night. If tears could be sold, they would be priceless because it is just amazing what they can do to a damaged skin.

What I do was i got Neutrogena's microdermabrasion for the face. It has worked wonders for my new and old scars. I have been using it for about 3 weeks and my face looks so good and natural i dont have to wear foundation to hide any flaws. My skin looks flawless (so everyone says). It is kind of pricey. I live in canada and it was $59.99 at Shoppers Drugmart. It works so very very well.

Hope this helps,

Shawna. =)

There is an ointment called Maderma, and another one called Scar Zone. They both have to be used for a while before you notice any results.

it all depends on how thick and deep the scars are...

if they are light and thin the creams like vitamin e etc will work. but if they are much deeper then you'd need to talk to a doctor about it.

Can they be covered with makeup? If not, the only alternative would be a plastic surgeon. Before you consult a plastic surgeon, however, check out the cheaper alternative of make-up. Consult a professional. They can really perform miracles. Good luck!
