Okay. So your question is about boobs or tummy, then you ask just about tummy...I'll answer both since I had both! I had a radical mastectomy and what is called TRAM flap done in 2002. This was taking the skin from abdomen (we have that after having a few babies, no matter what, *sigh*) and forcing it into the area that was the former breast, creating a mound, which is perfect looking with clothes on.

The 'boob' job was a breeze. My surgeon; as most other docs spray a anesthesia into the abdominal cavity, so your numbed out pretty well. The TRAM (Tummy tuck in a way) was the most painful. Because of the gas afterwards. And more importantly the inability to stand up straight, and therefore your back hurts. You can't get up from laying on a couch, so don't lay there!! Get on your bed it's higher and you can...slide off or down, rather than trying to push yourself up. If you get in a chair, have something handy to assist you in pulling yourself up, a cane, a kids head, your honey whoever, whatever necessary. Also! Have that cordless phone next to you...

If you know of anyone who has had a C Section that would be within the same realm. You will not be able to do much for about 5 days post surgery, so use the friends and family that will assist you, you'll need it.

Oh! Go to Wally World and buy a ...'picker-upper'...alot of groundskeepers use it to pick up debris off ground rather than bending and picking up....you will need it and be very thankful you have it.

Good luck on your surgery!

Matthew, relax. The most painful part will be under anesthesia and when you wake up you will feel some pain but the surgeon will prescribe painkillers.

It is also important to follow the instructions from the surgeon/nurse. If you do that, it will hurt just as much as from a small injury.

Good luck with the surgery.

Tummy tuck surgery has become very common now. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost surgery in India. Indian corporate hospitals are comparable to hospitals anywhere in the world. In fact, India has medical facilities that are comparable with the USA, UK and Canada. India offers World Class Medical Facilities, comparable with any of the western countries. India has state of the art Hospitals and the best medical experts. With the best infrastructure, the best possible Medical facilities, accompanied with the most competitive prices, you can get the treatment done in India at the lowest prices.

a boob job defiently hurts worse, because after getting a boob job, your chest has to get used to pushing up the added wait to your chest, therefore making it hurt to brethe, and talk. But if you get a tummy tuck, your stomach just pinches alot, but no plastic surgery is worse than a boob job.

Wake up! It's surgery. There is pain. Any surgery involves pain and risk. That's it.
