Hi there . I hope this helps !!!!!

Systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus, SLE) is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s immune system attacks various organs or cells of the body causing damage and dysfunction. Lupus is called a multisystem disease because it can affect many different tissues and organs in the body. Some patients with lupus have a very mild condition, which can be treated with simple medications, whereas others can have serious, life-threatening complications. Lupus is more common in women than men, and its peak incidence is after puberty—the reason for this is unknown.

I lost my mother a year ago to lupus . It was diagnosed very late . We only found about it a few months before she passed away . I miss her . It can be a dreadful disease if not treated in the early stages.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or lupus) is a chronic autoimmune disease that is potentially debilitating and sometimes fatal as the immune system attacks the body’s cells and tissue, resulting in inflammation and tissue damage. SLE can affect any part of the body, but most often harms the heart, joints, skin, lungs, blood vessels, kidneys and nervous system. The course of the disease is unpredictable, with periods of illness (called flares) alternating with remission. Lupus can occur at any age, but is more common in women and particularly non-Caucasian women. Lupus is treatable symptomatically, mainly with corticosteroids and immunesuppressants, though as of 2006 there is no cure. The name lupus (Latin for "wolf"), is thought to derive from the crude similarity between the facial rash that some lupus patients develop and a wolf's face, though other explanations have been proposed.

A chronic autoimmune disease, that attacks different tissues/organs of the body. It depends on what Lupus you have, though. There are 4 different types: Discoid(skin involvement), Systemic(organ involvement), Drug-induced, and Neonatal. That Lupus Association focuses mainly on Systemic, because it is the most serious. I have systemic lupus erythematosus, and it is very painful. Hope I helped!

Lupus is one of many disorders of the immune system known as autoimmune diseases. In autoimmune diseases, the immune system turns against parts of the body it is designed to protect. This leads to inflammation and damage to various body tissues. Lupus can affect many parts of the body, including the joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood vessels, and brain. Although people with the disease may have many different symptoms, some of the most common ones include extreme fatigue, painful or swollen joints (arthritis), unexplained fever, skin rashes, and kidney problems.

Hi, hedzy! OK, one in all my all-time favourite moments on that exhibit was once the episode wherein Kramer makes a decision to undertake a part of the Arthur Burkhart (sp ?) throughway. When Kramer makes a decision to widen the avenue by way of getting rid of a lane and fails miserably while it explanations site visitors disorders, he douses the avenue with paint thinner. The scene wherein Newman, who's riding his mail truck with a few particles stuck beneath it that is taking pictures sparks in every single place, begins screaming because the avenue catches on hearth at the same time he is making a song "Three Times a Lady" STILL makes me chortle so tough that I cry. Favorite episode, although, is the only wherein Jerry buys the automobile from Puddy and takes George with him. "Au revoir, Le George!" and the sweet line-up rock.

it is an autoimmune disease. your immune system is overactive. when an infection invades, your immune system attacks your good organs and tissues instead of the intruder.
