Sometimes our family gets a phone call like, "You have to call this number ***-***-**** and ask for Ken Hughs. This is not a solicitator's call or a telemarketing call." Has anyone had this? What is it? How do I stop it?

I got a name from the identical number. If you search it, it's a number in Mass. It is a junk mail call. Some are about auto warranty's others are about one of a kind types of stuff they suppose they are able to signal you up for. By no means give out private expertise on the cellphone.

It's a scam. Don't call the number. It's probably associated with the lottery and/or Nigerian scams. Don't call the number.

It sounds like a bill collector of sorts.

I had a call recently, I don't remember from who, but it was automated, and left a message.

For once, I don't owe anyone so I called back.

They were looking for someone who was a friend or associate of mine, but they couldn't tell me who.
