I would be more inclined to believe Gates at this point in time. I believe that he and I think alike. To kill a snake the best way is to chop off it's head. Gates and I both know who the snake is in this whole mess,so once he convinces GWB what needs to be done and they do it, then we can say: yes, we are winning the war!
If you're curious as to who the snake is, it's Ahmadinejad. Who else!

Because we're not winning. And as a US soldier it bothers the h*ll out of me that we pretend we are. I can deal with losing face, but to ignore the truth is ridiculous.
