Yes! Yes! Yes! I was told that I had it as a child, thought I'd never get it again, then got it when I was in my 30s. Didn't know what it was; thought it was zits acting up--it happens when I eat greasy foods--and I did as usual: washed vigourously to get rid of the zits. I went to the doctor for the other symptoms, and he told me I had it, and it happens more than once on rare occasions. So when I rubbed what I thought were zits, I now have the scars to prove it. And having this puts you at risk of getting shingles in the future. Ugh!

My nephew got them when he was a baby and the Dr. told my sister he could get them again because his immune system was still young and didn't build up the resistance to them. Sure enough he got them again when he was a teenager. So yes you can get them more then once.
