my 100 pound dog sleeps on my feet or the sofa

My Border Collie puppy and 7 yr old Doxie sleep in our bed. My American Eskimo gets too warm from the body heat, so she prefers the floor. My cat sleeps where ever she takes an interest to sleep.

My 200 lb St. Bernard always starts out the night at the foot of my bed but usually ends up in the floor as I wake up in the middle of the night falling of the side and him stretched out on my side of the bed. With my husband and usually one of my sons deciding to sleep with us as well this makes for one full king sized bed. But I wouldn't have it any other way. My English mastiff pups sleep down stairs in a kennel until potty training is completed. But we leave a TV on. Sounds silly but I swear my dogs watch TV, we even leave it on when we are gone to keep them company.

One sleeps in the crook of the back of my knees and one sleeps agains my tummy. Being only jack russels there not heavy but there on top of the blankets turning over can be a pain. If you can keep them on there same side of the bed better for you

We raise dogs, so we have 13 dogs and they all sleep in the house some were.. and they are not small dogs they are 80 pound dogs.. We have a 4 bedroom house and then we have 6 crates.. 6 dogs go in crates, 2 go into my room, 2 go in my parents room, 1 go into my brothers room and 2 stay in the living room.. Most of our dogs stay on their own beds, but sometimes they sneak up to the bed.. haha.. Sometime i wake up and have a dog at my head.. All of our dogs are SPOILED!!

The cats are always upstairs in the bedroom - but they do the nomad-thing from the bed, the kitty bed, the cat tree, etc. Pretty much whereever they want- lol. The fish sleep in their aquarium.

I have 2 Westies (brother and sister) and tucking them in is always the last ritual of the day.

When we're ready for bed, we take them out one last time and then they come in and jump into their soft corduroy basket style beds which are in our open plan dining room/ study area. They each have a little pillow we pinched from the plane on our last international flight (Thanks Air France) and their own fleecy blanket. One has pink and one has blue (yes, I know). They settle down and last thing to do is wish them a good night and tuck them in.

Maybe some will shake their heads at me, but it gives me a feeling of great satisfaction going to sleep knowing that my dogs are comfy and warm.

My dog sleeps in my bed most of the time. Sometimes he'll go on the floor, or take the couch.
