How do you know if someone is a Sex addict?
Ever since my friend & her boyfriend broke up all she talks about is sex, and how she just cant get enough.
She says she just needs to get it out of her system, but I worry about her.
I'm afraid she may run into some crazy guy whos going to hurt her or give her an STD. She's out of control!!
What can I do to help her?

A clear sign that someone is a sex addict is that they have lost control of their own behavior. They "need" it and have to have it, just like a drug like Heroin or Crack. If she talks about it all the time that's actually pretty normal because people have wide ranges of libido (that's horniness to you non-scientific folk). Me and my friends talk about sex all the time, but we're not sex addicts. Though we like to have lots of sex we can control our urges.
It's when a person loses control and when that happens it's time to get some help.

I have a personal experience with this.
Tell her to kinda keep it down until she finds a good boyfriend.
Once she has another one, they can go at it all they want.
But make sure she doesn't go for any one-night-stands.

yes u can be a sex addict, but that doesn't mean u can't be a monogamous sex addict. haha.

take her to a psychologist. what interested her before they got together? try doing something exciting that will remind her of all the fun she had before
