You dont have to be a "certain religion" you just have to believe that JESUS died for your sins and ask him to come into your heart.

Though your beliefs obviously point to Christianity, they don't fit best with traditional Christianity. I'd say you'd best fit into the Liberal Christian section. As far as my knowledge on the subject goes (which is as far as my reading on the subject has taken me), Liberal Christianity is when a person believes most of the core beliefs of Christianity (about Jesus and whatnot) but rejects some of the traditional smaller ones (for example, maybe the story of Adam and Eve, though I think it depends mainly on the person). They believe the bible should be re-interpreted by every generation to gain a new relevancy and that the dogmatic side shouldn't take presedence over a person's own conscience or rationale and experience.
I would definetly do some further reader on the matter. perhaps even check out other sects of Christianity. here's a little site you might be interested in: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Olympus/2961/liberal.htm
Good luck! I always love to see people actively seeking truth in their faith, not just believing every word of a book written centuries ago just because someone says every word is true, or rejecting everything in religion just because they have some doubts. :)

By title your Christian. However you do not practice as a Christian because you take out of the bible what you want and incorporate into your own personal needs and what you want to believe, while you discard others simply because you don't understand it or it conflicts with other beliefs you may have and think is better. You cannot revise the bible to justify your own beliefs. The bible is engraved in stone. It is final. You cannot change that. Adam & Eve were the first people on earth and they brang forth mankind into the world. Were they not created neither would we be now. Do not exempt one word from the bible, do not edit it. What God says is gold. And final. Peace.

Hon.....I am in the very same boat with you, only difference is that I "buy" the adam and eve thing....but my beliefs extend beyond what I was brought up to be (Christian)...I am like you....I believe in God....in Jesus.....and once in awhile I will attend church.....but as of yet I have studied several other religions and I have beliefs that stem from them, too....and I too, have had to deal with negative comments....."haters" as you put them....but basically now I just keep to myself....I couldn't keep from answering this....you sound like someone I would love to get to know....as I am highly and very spiritual.....and oh , too....I have the Holy Ghost.....the gift of it...e-mail me if you want to!

Forget religion.
Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Christ is the tree of life.
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Sometimes, religion is nothing more than a label (sorry).
Try a few churches in your area, see if there is any one that you like - their doctrine.
http://www.joycemeyer.org is a wonderful site; and Joyce Meyer is a wonderful everyday down to earth person. Maybe check out a few of her books, read, study.. continue on your walk with the Lord.
Labels are not that important.. being a Christian is. It's about what's in your heart.. sounds like you're already there.

Since you referred to the Holy Spirit as the Holy Ghost, you sound Catholic. But why should it matter which denomination you belong to as long as you are a Christian? It sounds to me like you would fit in well with a non denominational church.
If belonging to a particular denomination does matter to you, then try going to a different church each week until you find one you are comfortable with.

It sounds like you're a Christian to me. You don't need to belong to any religion to be Christian but if you want to hook up with one that believes what you do you can try Baptist, Pentacostal, Lutheran, Methodist and those are just for starters.
