i was dating this guy who is ten years older than me. we been dating on and off for over two years. but we are on two different levels in our life. he is ready to get married and have kids but im just about to turn 18 and im just about to really enjoy my freedom. He keep talking to me about getting me pregnant and moving in with him. but im just not ready for all that. so i broke up with him because i feel like im holding him back from the life he wants. Do u think thats wrong?

if this means anything to you. I am proud you did break up.
That shows you are a level headed girl who wants to have a life of how you choose before committing,.
Your guy friend was being pushy and you don't need to be pushed into something you are nor sure of..
Good for you .
Yes you would be holding him back from what he wants in life.
And he would be holding you back also if you had stayed with him
He would be happy , but you wouldn't be.

It's wrong of him to try to push you to do something your not ready to do. You obviously don't want the same things at this point in your lives. Your only 18, too young to get married and way, way, way too young to have a baby.

Sometimes the things we want in life aren't necessarily the best thing for us. You may Love him but, unfortunately love isn't enough.

Nope, you did the smart, adult thing...doing the right thing does not always mean doing the easiest thing.

You showed more maturity and common sense at 18 then he does at 28.

You were very mature to realize that you aren't where he is yet. You have so much to still experience. Good for you that you realize that. if it is true love he will still be there once you have experienced a little more the world has to offer.

Not at all.
A relationship is all about trust and compromising.
If you're no where near ready to do that, then don't.
I agree. You can't miss out on this part of your life!

I think you handled that real well. Let him find someone who is ready for what he wants. Enjoy life.
