she's a huge bookworm, too, so I guess I could get her a book or two. But, what else is popular?

I know your dilemma, I have a much younger brother. By personal preference I like to get small children like that something they can grow with or something they need like clothes (since they grow out of them so fast, it helps mom and dad) I know it sounds kind of boring, but my experience has been spending a lot of money on toys my little brother touched for a few months then that was it. If she is a bookworm, get her books (it's always one of my favorite gifts to give) I usually give a book that's age appropriate with pictures and easy words, and sometimes I will add in a book they will enjoy in the future once they've learned to read such as The Giving Tree or Charlotte's Web. Depending on your budget, there are many things out there to get, like Leap Pads, movies or videos, toys etc. Be creative.

You should get her the new leap pad hand held game. It looks something like a gameboy, but it purely educational. I think that would be a great gift idea!
I've listed some sources, check them out if you decide to get her something like that.
