My cat went into heat last wednesday night, and we went out of town friday. When we got back on sunday, she was no longer howling/whining like she's in heat. We had someone taking care of our animals while we were gone, and I forgot to mention to keep my female cat inside. Could her heat just be done with, or do you think that she's pregnant?

anywhere from 2 weeks - 4 weeks...be prepared for what us vet techs call the "butt dance"...it involves screaming and bouncing back and forth on their back legs...kinda like running in place but only with their back legs...goodluck!

A female cat can stay in heat for to 2-3 weeks but if I were you and I was out of town ask the person who looked after them if she went out?
she might be over it but she could be pregnant if she went outside as the males always smell a female in heat.
Go to your vet if you think she might be.
Hope this helps?

" " How long does a Female cat's heat last? " " On and off many times a year until they pass away or are spayed.

Id say shes almost certainly pregnant, females howl and scream usually for around 3-4 weeks or until they get mated

It depends on the cat and the situation that is going on around it. If you suspect that your cat is pregnant in about three weeks her nipples will get engorged and fill with milk. Also you could take her into the vet to see if she is and if she isn't get her fixed while you are there.

Cats can be in heat for a few days to week. It all just depends but you should really get her spayed.

About 5-8 days and telling her to shut the hell up will not do any good. Your stuck for the next few days. Get "good" ear plugs.
