So there's a gut that is really buff. He's always beating the crap out of us in Kumite and we are tired. He's also always hitting on me with his muscles 'cause they are really big. So I wanted to know good excersizes to get bigger biceps and a six pack. I'm willing to endure hardship.

Wow, someone that is willing to not be a pansy in order to stick it in someone elses face, there's not enough people left in the world like you. But first things first, you most likely will never become ripped anything liek this guy, because of genetics, but i do believe that genetics left complete equality in mindset and willpower, i have seen this to be true. For biceps, find youself a chin up bar. Do chin ups and pullups, start with as many as you can do, and slowly work your way up, i started out being able to do two chin ups and one pull up (chin up is palms facing towards you, works mainly biceps, and gives nice definition, pull ups are palms facing away from you, and uses a lot more core muscles and is more useful when trying to develop muscles attuned to martial arts) now i do sets of ten, ten chinups, ten pullups ten chin ups ect. Don't forget about your tricepts while developing your biceps though, keep good definition all around and balance everything out, pushups are good, but for tricep strength, keeps your elbows right next to your body, and turn your fingers out slightly, putting far more emphasis on the tricep muscles and less on the pectorals. Again there are other excersises that will work just the triceps, gyms have machines for it, but i do believe that your martial arts should come before just being buff, don't let some asshole ruin your martial art for you, so keep working everything. For abs? sit ups ( feet on the floor, hands behind ears, elbows come up and touch knees) crunches (feet off the floor, come together as far as you can, these are done fast and explosively) V ups (straighten the legs, and lift them off the floor as high as you can while lifting your body off the ground and try to touch your toes each time, without bending your knees) Partner leg raises (you lay on your back, your partner stands with a foot on either side of your head, grab his/her ankles and do leg raises, your partner pushes your feet back down, either straight down, or off to one side or another, you have to keep your feet four to six inches off the floor each time your partner pushes them down) Ok i know great cache of ab excersizes, single, partners, with medicine balls, with ghin ups bars, with other pieces of equipment, e-mail me if you want more. Also if you want to become more defined, take up jogging and skipping, but when i say jogging i mean running hard for an hour every morning and night, and when i say skipping i mean skipping hard non stop for a half an hour or longer before class every night. Yeah, i do lots of other excersizes, but those are the main ones for those muscle groups, but if you want more you can e-mail me.

First of all, large muscles don't necessarily make you the most effective fighter. Although physical fitness is important in martial arts, what you need to realize is that at 12 yrs old, you are still developing, and still growing. Your body is still catching up to it's growth, and so as long as you keep up a rigorous physical regime, you will be fine.

Next, work mostly on technique. Really, the guy hitting you should be learning better control, but that is beside the point. When practicing, try working on drills that involve less blocking, and more evasion. One way of doing this is through footwork drills. If you are off the imaginary fight line, he cannot easily strike you, whereas you can more easily penetrate his defense.

Also, remember to meet an agressive offense with a passive defense. If a guy throws a powerful punch, instead of using a devastating block, try using a soft block to redirect his energy. This will keep you from getting hurt as much, and will keep him off balance more often. If he throws his whole weight at you, focus on redirecting his center, so that his larger mass, merely becomes more easily thrown off balance. This will often cause you to expend less energy.

Finally, stay aggressive when training. If you start backing up, it will become like blood in the water. Remember to fight ferociously, so that he must be concerned with defense.

However, some drills to maintain excellent physical fitness, tend to be the classics. Good situps, elevated pushups, etc...

Ask your Sensei for extra help. At your age, pushups, crunches(so you are better able to take hits there), and tricep dips are about all you can do for now. Working on your flexibility would be a good thing; sometimes guys who are bulky aren't very flexible.Instead of trying to beat him at what his strengths are; figure out his weaknesses.

is he over 18?

If he is I suggest next time you spar you should get down on your knees and give him a blo wjob, then after class you report him to the police for committing statutory rape and he will go to jail.

You don't have to deal with him anymore- problem solved.
