Churches are generally exempt from taxes. Is that what you mean?

Non-profits are tax-exempt - some examples are churches, libraries, recognized charities.

If you mean how would you be able to file your W-4 as exempt, that's allowed if you do not expect to make enough that year to owe any taxes.
