I had the same problem. Most of the reason its probably stactic is because its winter, and its cold. and that drys it out. But if its static all year long her are somethings that will help!

1.) put alot of conditioner in, but make sure you wash it all out.
2.)Don't blow dry,
3.)a great product that I've been using is JOHN FRIEDA-straight answer-frizz ease-straightening spray. I'm sure you can find it at a grocery store or pharmacy. Its in a medium size, grey square bottle.

Hope I helped =]

Pack a fabric softener sheet in your purse or backpack. When you're having trouble, just put it in your palm, and wipe your hair down with it.

My inlaws live in the desert, where static from lack of humidity is a constant problem. They keep fabric softener in the car, to rub the dog down with!

Stand in one feet, your left foot, turn your head to the right, with your right hand hold all your hair pulling it to the left, put one finger of your right hand on your nose and try to jump ten times. I can assure you that after you finish this you would get static out of your hair

Dont over wash it, this will dry it out and make it frizz. I know winter is hard because sweaters over the head will make your hair go CRAZY!! Get a smoothing serum at a drugstore, as well as the best moisturizing conditioner you can find. Dont blow dry your hair unless you must.

I know this sounds strange but put a small amount of baby powder in your hands and apply through your hair.

i know this sounds really weird but put a tiny little but of lotion on your finger tips then run it through your hair

p.s. even though you might think it might leave your hair sticky and greasy but it doesn't it looks shiny and like you just took a shower and blow dried it

Dont blow dry it and use alot of conditioner, and use mousse, if that doesnt work put a light settleing lotion in it.
