Buying a fake is not an option. My husband really likes the real one although he said if I get too sick he will be flexible.

My husband is a great caring guy, he just likes the tradition. We all went out as a family and cut the tree in the forest behind our house. There are other trees I could buy but only this specfic variety grows in our area.

Are you allergic to all trees or just that type, cause you could get another tree... or you could have an outside Christmas tree.

have you investigated the different TYPES of Christmas trees available? Not every one of them will affect you the same way. Unfortunately, you're going to have to smell them all in order to be able to see which ones affect you. I am the same way. It's unfortunate, but we had to get an artificial tree for the same reason. The thing is, if you are willing to pay a lot of money, you can get an artificial tree that will look almost real...plus, you don't have the smell or the dropped needles. If you want the pine smell--that's what I miss--there are always spreays that mimic the scent of a real tree.

There are different types of trees to use for a Christmas tree, why not just buy a different kind of tree you aren't allergic to, other wise talk to your husband and explain that Christmas is about happiness and family and loving etc...Surely your happiness (not having a reaction) is more important than having a tree in his house :)

I think your health is most important so I would suggest your family purchasing a fake Christmas tree. It's not that big of a deal whether if the tree is real of fake.

well you have to buy a fake one because why risk getting real sick for your husband? instead of just buying a fake one?? the fake ones look great! and it does not make as much of a mess as the real trees

It could just be that type of tree. Get a different type. If it's all trees then I'm sorry to say an artificial one is all you've got left.

Aww.. That is very sweet of him. But I Know how it is my father will not get a fake at any cost.what kind of Christmas tree are you allergies to? There are Christmas tree farms with different kinds of trees. Maybe you could talk with your doctor, perhaps there's a one time shot?

Get some Fabree Allergin spray from the grocery store and spray it down fast before putting lights on it.
Make sure the Fabree is dry before puttin lights on it.
It should take away 80% of the allergies.

It may be the dust on the tree. That would also be on an artificial tree.

What is too sick. Throw it in the garbage and tell him that you are sick and that he is inconsiderate and selfish. Go buy a nice artifical tree and be happy.
