Here is why I strongly doubt the existence of God.

First, you have to define the term "God." The problem with most theists is that this term is a moving target.

In addition, because there is no evidence either for or against the existence of God, you cannot use deductive logic (a+b=c; therefore c-b=a). You can only reach a conclusion by inductive reasoning using the balance of evidence (90% of A is also B; C is B, so the chances are 90% that C is also A).

I will assert (and others may shoot this down) that the only RELEVANT definition of God states that he intervenes to circumvent natural laws.

If God circumvents natural laws, then it is impossible to understand natural laws. All scientific findings would have to include the stipulation, "it is also possible that these results are an act of God, a miracle, thereby making our research meaningless."

However, since we have been able to expand our knowledge of natural laws (evidenced by every appliance in your kitchen), the scientific method works in this discovery. And the likely conclusion is that God, at least the intervening kind, does not exist.

Additionally, if God is defined as all loving, all powerful, and all knowing, then it is impossible to explain suffering. Either God is not all loving (he acts sadistically), not all powerful (he cannot prevent suffering), or not all knowing (he created suffering by mistake because he didn't know the consequences of his actions).

If God is less than these and/or does not intervene in our existence, then he is either non-existent or irrelevant. The classic argument is that I cannot prove that a china teapot is orbiting the sun directly across from the earth's orbit. But while I cannot prove this is not true, the evidence against it is compelling.

The evidence against God is equally compelling, and while it is not possible to prove beyond any doubt, it makes more sense to live your life as if there were not God.

It is more compelling to me that humans have invented God to reflect the thoughts and needs of a particular time. Because humans are always looking for reasons, when none are found, it was the natural inclination to declare the cause to be "God" (or gods). As the faith grew, miracles and laws have been ascribed to this Divinity, and an orthodoxy grows up around it.

Successful religions over the long run also are accompanied by some level of economic well-being to the populace. Unsuccessful ones are seen as false because they don't lead to improved lives.

Now it seems unhelpful to believe in such superstition. The only matters that aid in our ongoing well being are work, location, health, sustenance, and pure, blind luck.

So that is why I don't believe God exists. And you know what? Even if you are as judgmental as you sound, it's okay if you do believe God exists.

It seems as if you're not asking a question, but making a statement judging those who don't believe in the traditional, solitary God.

The problem is that the Biblical / Qu'ran / Torah's descriptions of God and his role in humanity haven't been verified by any serious study. If we can't verify that some of the most fundamental parts of the holy books are true, why should we trust the rest of the book which is based on unproven assumptions?

There's also the question of what you mean by "doubt God's existence by their ways and actions." If you're talking about an adherence to the Bible, you should probably think about the fact that the Bible is so vast and self-contradictory that there are as many ways to interpret it as there are readers. Therefore, if a person doesn't abide by your interpretation of the Bible or the interpretation with which you're most familiar, doesn't mean that they don't believe in God.

So, a recap of why anyone would doubt your version of God:
1. No solid evidence for his recorded powers and actions.
2. Contradictory holy text which give everyone a different idea of what God is like or should be like.
3. Vague and inconsistent guidelines as to what constitutes a belief in God.

I know a lot of people that doubt the existence of God or couldn't care less. They only care about material things and having fun, no matter how they get it. Most of it has to do with the way the parents bring up their children or with the friends that they hang out with. I'm glad that my parents cared enough to teach me about God's wonderful existence and what happens to us on our final day on earth. We will all be judged by Him on how we have lived our lives.

I do not know where those so-called Christians get their theology from, certainly not from the Bible. They are so addicted by what this world has to offer to them.

Also, if God does not exist, how would we ever know whether something is good or bad?

Probally, because the actions and words of god’s annoying followers prove again & again that I would rather spend an eternity in hell then even a second in heaven with you.

"the existence of GOD " Based on ONE book written over 2,000 years ago. Since then absolutely not ONE shred of evidence that would stand up in a court of law.

"as if there is NO FINAL DAY OF JUDGEMENT!" One chapter in that book, which consisted of no more than ramblings.

I'll tell you what. You still owe me £10,000. Honest, I've got it written down. Please put a cheque in the post.

They are lazy sinners, like we all can be at times. For others like atheists, etc., admitting there is a god is the worst thing that could happen. IF God exists, then there are way too many ramifications for their lives. Everyone would rather be their OWN god, in charge completely of their own lives. Also, when there is a God, then he calls the shots, and knows things like the first and last days of our lives. This is absolutely terrifying to people, and to those that deny it, often are not intellectually honest with themselves.

I've seen absolutely no proof the Desert God exists or his "son".

Though, then again, I've seen no proof that ANY Gods/esses exist, so I guess I'm going Atheist.

I'm Atheist and you're wrong. The worse Christians believe the most. They believe God truly understand them
