Now, I can't catergorically confirm this as I was not present at the Mission Briefing, but I was told his mission was to assasinate Hitler's great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, Grandma. Unfortunately he failed, and was captured by the enemy and executed. We here have no further knowledge of his whereabouts, and dis-avow any knowledge of his mission.

He said, as I recall, that he was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. So he didn't have a mission to the world -- not until his Hellenistic followers a couple of generations later started putting words into his long-dead mouth.

Good question. Jesus himself answered it. Look at scriptures such as John 16:28;3:16.

As far as I can tell, Jesus never even existed. I've seen no proof whatsoever that he's even real. Just some thing the christians made up about 2006 years ago.

Jesus is God in human form. He came to earth to save us from our sins.
God created us because is wanted someone to love. Adam and Eve had an opportunity to live in a perfect, sinless world, but chose to disobey God. For this reason, God allowed us to have our free will do make our own choices. What as resulted was pain, sorrow and death (because of our evils).
Because we are sinful by nature and can't live up to God's standards, we couldn't live with him in Heaven and have eternal life.
God decided to give us a second chance by coming to earth in human form. Living among us to see what it was like. He came as Jesus. He could not sin and was came to be an example to us and teach us and show us God's love.
In the Old Testament times (before Jesus), a person who sinned had to do many strange things in order to redeem him/herself such as giving offerings like lambs (God's idea of a pure, innocent and sinless being).
That's where Jesus comes in. God came as Jesus (the Lamb of God) to be the ultimate and final "sacrifice" that if we believed that he was God in human form and that he came as our sacrifice, that we wouldn't ever have to offer our own sacrifices. We have to believe (have faith) that he was who he said he was and that he came for that reason. If we do, we're "Saved" and will be able to live eternally with Jesus (God) after we die.
As a result of being saved, we're called Christians and have the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit (Jesus's presence) in our lives to help us deal with lifes problems.

If you want to be saved, just pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart (life). Tell him that you believe that he is the Son of God and that he died on the cross for your sins. That's it, you'll be a Christian. Then try to find a church that preaches the bible, like a Baptist church or a friend who's a Christian or go to a Christian website like Focus on the Family. Tell them you're a new Christian and want help. They'll drop everything to answer your questions!

Hope this helps. God Bless
