Dear Whoever's reading this,

I really need some advice. My family has been through a lot and is still going through it. I really want to do something special for my mom (52) my dad (53) my aunt (mother's sister) (59) and my younger brother (11). Two years ago, about 3 days after New Years my mother's mother died. The monday before Thanksgiving this year, my father's sister died. She lived in FL and was cremated her remains are being shiped here for burial and the service is going to be maybe a week from Christmas; the point is that the holidays are tough for my family and, after all they do they deserve something special. I know it's last minute for major plans, but please, if you have any ideas, any way to help please tell me.

The picture idea sounds good, to expand on that you could make a collage of all your family together, those here and those who have moved on.. Over a nicely prepared family dinner, you can explain your reasoning: You know holidays tend to be rough for everyone, and you wanted to do something to cherish everyone as a family. Too often we wait until it's too late to tell our close ones how special they are to us. Maybe you can start a tradition of showing love to each other, while everyone IS still here. This whole thing will probably be a very emotional time for you all. Best of luck and I hope whatever you decide turns out a success!

You should try to get a picture of the family members that passed and take it to a photo store and have it nicely framed or do it yourself.

If you think that will be too sad, try setting up a day where everyone can go take a family picture together. You can get it doen for less than $20 at Walmart.
