Consult with one of those paralegal services that specialize in fighting tickets. They will tell you if they think you have a chance of winning or not. Errors by police can be made and these people will know if this has happened. They may also be able to get the speed reduced so the fine and points will be fewer.
I've seen people approach the traffic court prosecutor and ask for a deal on their own and get one as well.
Chances are though the police officer has a good case as the traffic was probably light at 4 and didn't get your vehicle confused with others in the area. I think your only shot would be if the police officer didn't test the radar unit prior to giving you the ticket or if he/she wasn't a qualified radar operator.

Radar or Laser tickets are going to be all most impossible to beat. The officers are well trained, well documented and well versed in the appellate procedures of these cases.

All your going to accomplish in fighting it is this:

1. Incur the expense of a blood sucker attorney who will cost you about 300 bucks and at best get your adjudication withheld. (still costing you the money, plus his fee).
2. Go to court on your own, lose, pay the fine, get the points, PLUS get slammed with court costs.
3. Maybe if really, really, really, like win the lottery type lucky, you will get the points shave off.. still paying court costs and incurring points.

Just do driving school, if its an option, lose the points.. but take the fine hit.

Don't let the armchair experts mislead you... Plead NOT guilty. Demand from the PD the latest calibration report on the unit the cop had.. and the operating manual, his training reports on the unit. You should have asked to see the readout on his radar unit, If you didn't see it, or acknowlege to the cop on video or recorder that you were over the limit... call him a liar in open court, demand supporting evidence from him. The judge will automatically declare you guilty. Advise the court you will appeal. File the appeal with the court clerk (they have the forms) upon appeal your case will be dismissed for lack of evidence. Appeals courts do NOT allow minor typos by the cop, if they don't fill out the ticket right, you win.

THAT is how it works. Watch closer for cops, buy an Escort detector, the next best thing to diplomatic immunity.

Do your state laws or insurance company cause you to pay more for your insurance after this kind of violation or maybe after a second offense?

If so, it's worth it to get a lawyer. Even if you don't get completely off, you might get a reduction in the severity of the charge/fine. It's worth a shot. Having a lawyer at your side makes a difference - not just because they may know more than you about how to fight this, but also because the judge wants to just get this over with and it's quicker to kick it down/out than to sit there and listen to your lawyer yap. Also, the judges and court system seem to like you paying into the legal "welfare" system.

BTW - I might be driving down the same road as you some day. PLEASE, slow down. That's just too fast on a road where other people, road hazards, or animals might be. Relax a little, ok?

Why would you come in the law enforcement site and ask for help reducing as ticket you obviously deserved? Pay your ticket, take your punishment, and slow down. We support you desire to do the right thing!!

Also, refrain from what Gunny says. A radar affidavit goes with the ticket so you don't have to fight about the calibration and training.

95 in a 65, pay the ticket.

I suggest you pay the ticket. You don't have a chance of it being thrown out of court unless the police officer used some sort of misconduct and it would have be pretty bad to get you off for that.

Always take a ticket to court because if the cop doesn't show it will be dismissed. If he does, you may have to pay the fine but you usually don't get points.
