Is he breaking up with me?

My boyfriend and i have been together for 4 years, we have had this fight before, i wanted him to come out for an important night, he called the night of and asked if id be mad if he didnt come, i said that i needed and wanted him there and if he didnt come....whatever(he didnt even need to ask he knew id be really mad). so he took that as a no and didnt come out. i got home, drunk and called and yelled at him, which i feel bad about. i guess if i wanted him there i should have been more direct. anyway, now after 2 days of him ignoring me he texts me and says he needs time, and doesnt know how long. are we breaking up, my god the man does nothing for me of course id be mad, and i have already appologized a few times for how i dealt with the situation. what should i do? or is there nothing i can do when i do something wrong. oh, and he dissapoints me all the time and is forgiven, he gets help from me and i am always there for him but he cant mannage to come out with me.

id lay off for a bit.
if you keep bothering him about it or something then it will probably be over.
and it would be obvious he has the upper hand in your relationship and he'll use that to his advantage.

if you're not getting anything out of the relationship why would you want to stay in it? i know it's hard to move on from a 4 year relationship, but wouldn't you rather be in an equal relationship?

Sounds like you should just end it as there is nothing there for a relationship. Move on.

Why are you blaming this on yourself? And why do you want a guy who can't be there for you and bails on "important nights?" I say forget him. Good riddance and find someone who will be there for you!
