The english people invaded whole world. They looted, raped and killed hundreds of thousand people. Is this great about britain. I want to know from the people of England are you guys proud of your ansisters who invaded others home or feel ashmed of their act?

Very proud of my ancestors. Every people, every nation has blood on its hands - no one is innocent. Name one people on earth who have never done anything bad to anyone else.
We are great because of our scientific achievements, our vast international trade that has benefitted millions, our ancient system of law which has been adopted by many nations around the world, our language which continues to grow and evolve, and the way we have stood up to tyrants and dictators and defeated them all.
That is what is Great about Britain.

Well, if you're American the chances are they're YOUR ancestors too. And no, I'm not in the least proud of my country's imperialist past. Are you of yours?
For your information, it's called Great Britain from Grande Bretagne, to distinguish it from Bretagne in France, which was a British territory in the 15th Century. It doesn't mean Whoopee we're great any more than Land of the Free means that people in America are free to do things like gamble, get married if you're gay, buy fireworks etc. Mind you, you're allowed to own an AK-47, which is handy.

America has its own fair share of blood on its hands, as do most nations. I'll tell you what's great about the UK today: religion has very little, if any, influence on the vote.

yea well.... are you proud to be american if u r? because we arent really that good of people either... our soldiers raped people during wars sometimes killed them. the germans did it too so did the russians probably the romans did too.
