Make them a gift voucher - offer to do a couple of hours of weeding in the garden or offer to valet the car, wash the windows or something they just don't like doing all that much. You might want to offer a variety of different jobs around the house on different vouchers - offer to pack them a picnic while you vaccum the house. Sometimes it's not the money items that are important - it's the thought you put into the gift.
Merry Xmas!

I think the best gift would be something that you make yourself. Anyone can buy a gift but if you make something or create something from the heart, that is something special. My daughter wrote me a poem and framed it. That was the best present I ever received and it hangs in my front room to this day. If it comes from the heart then you can't go wrong!

Go with sentimental. That is something she can never do for herself, and you can do every year. Even if you aren't very crafty you can do gift baskets. Go buy cookies, chocolates, hot chocolate, crackers, and fresh flowers. wrap all of the cookies and goodies individually with ceranwrap and then put them neatly in a basket that you've filled with shredded green and red paper. Then put the flowers in between them. When it's opened on Christmas day, it will smell and look beautiful and your mother will be so joyful that you took the time to make her something Trust me, when it comes to parents, give them somthing that you make from deep down in your heart. :) :)

I bought my parents a really nice frame and printed a nice poem on a piece of paper (with a nice background) You can either write the poem yourself if you're good at that kind of thing or just find one that means a lot. Just put the poem in the frame and you have a gift that will touch their hearts. :)
Good luck!

Give them a movie night. Find an OLD movie on DVD that you think they would like to see (something classic or just nutty). Put it in a big bowl with microwave popcorn, movie candies and two bottled drinks (coke or whatever they like). Then, tape two movie passes (or theater, whatever they like) in an envelope on the back of the DVD with a note saying "just in case you don't like this...". Wrap it all up & put it under the tree.

A nice plaque engraved with your thoughts of how much you love them. Not only can they hang it on the wall for all to see but the gift will last forever. (My mom gave me the one I had given dad after he passed away. I now have it hanging on my wall.. and it will pass on to my children). Kind words go a long way and last forever unlike most gifts!

Buy a beautiful picture frame and put your picture in it or their picture in it. I have always told my kids when they give me pictures to give them in a frame. That way they don't sit in a box year after year. A good movie or a CD along with it.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS."

A nice photo of you.
A special consumable gift like lotion, nuts, candy, fruit, tea, coffee, you get the picture.
A note about how they have influenced your life growing up.

What kind of things do they like? (dvd's, cd's clothes, "collectables", framed pictures, books,....) -those are some of the things I choose from when it comes to christmas gifts.-ask your dad what she wants, ask your mom what he wants, they should know the answers.
