He's absolutely brilliant. I really really want a copy of The God Delusion as an Xmas gift.

He can comprehend hugely complex concepts and then bring them down the level of "anyman" so that we may all understand and be enlightened.

I have not read his book. I am sure that he makes great points. However, I am also sure that the points he makes are NOT NEW. I am sure that the points he makes are nothing new from 2000+ years of philosophy and doubt and speculation from people smarter than him. And that is not to add that plenty of highly intelligent people DO believe in God--e.g. C.S. Lewis (also from Oxford).

Even Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein are smart enough to say (at least) that they don't know if there is a God.

I believe that many atheists and Christians alike seek information to prove their perspectives. This is not an arguement for agnosticism but an agruement for seeking the truth and not blindly accepting what C.S. Lewis or Richard Dawkins would say.

I don't think much of him, he seems to be a pile of human remains with a brain that doesn't to quit, of course if he could think past himself or science then he would be more like a human rather than a robot, such a waste of life. But can he do a rubic's cube?

The new Messiah... If I believed in that sort of thing...

His statements are profound and logical. For example. What is more probable: A supreme deity existing out of nothing, or a greatly disordered universe being created out of nothing.

smart guy, but often too pompous for his own good. he sometimes suggest ideas which are so eccentric that it really undermines the certain amount of credibility which he does deserve.

on a personal level, he seems like a bit of a douche.

I read his book "The Blind Watchmaker" back when I was still an atheist/evolutionist. He used a computer program to demonstrate that various random patterns could be created, but he missed one important point - he only proved that it takes intelligence (his, or the program/computer designer's) to create order, so he was actually proving creation.
